As Thanksgiving rushes up on all of us, I encourage you to take a few minutes each day to reflect and add something you’re thankful for to this Tree of Thanks. I was lazy and bought some branches, but you could easily take a nice fall walk and collect some branches for your own tree. Add a few cute tags or cut out paper leaves. It would be a nice family tradition before each meal or bedtime. I hope you make it all your own. Happy Thanksgiving!
Supplies
Branches (store bought or collected)
Pre-strung tags (or tags + twine)
Washi Tape
Sharpie
I’m SUPER late on the washi tape obsession train. I had been looking for cute colored tags and came up with a few options, but nothing just right. The tags I did find were just asking for some jazzing up and the washi tape did not disappoint! I went to the register with 3 packs and managed to leave with just the one when they confirmed it was not on sale. Image may be NSFW.

Simply wrap your tag with some washi tape, making it wrap all the way around. I wrote what we were grateful for on both sides of the tags so that it would be okay when they inevitably rotate around on the tree. So just wrap that cute tape both front and back.
I made 10 of each design but you could wrap 2 tapes to a tag and make cute patterns. Whatever your heart desires! Image may be NSFW.

Of course my 4 year old is always grateful for Dad first and then Mom, as an afterthought. Ah, to carry them for 9 months and then always play second fiddle. Haha.
Grey, blues and white… now you see the inspiration for my washi tape color scheme! I think we’ll keep this up through the new year but switch to Christmas colors when December comes. I find my kids becoming so greedy around this time of year, which really is the opposite of how I’d like them to feel. Hoping this little exercise warms their hearts to the bounty they already have.
My own heart about burst when my daughter dictated what she was thankful for. “My baby”, she said, referring to our 3 month old little guy. ♥ I hope you all find some joy in reflecting on your blessings too!
