DIY Tie Dyed Soap
I love getting creative and making homemade presents as a Thank You, Birthday or Christmas present. And this DIY Tie-Dyed Soap is perfect for that! This craft is easy to do, it isn’t labor intensive at all, and once you have purchased all the ingredients once, you can make several batches and keep the extras for future occasions.

Melt & Pour Soap Base
Liquid Soap Colorants (Red, Blue, Yellow and Green)

Stirring Stick
Directions:
Place your Melt & Pour Soap base on a flat surface and using your knife cut it into 1 inch cubes. I cut about 10 cubes for 2 full bars of soap.

Place your cut cubes into your bowl and place in the microwave for 35 seconds. Once the time is up, remove the container from the microwave and give it a quick stir to make sure all the cubes are melted down to liquid. If you need to add a bit more time, do this in small increments of 5-10 seconds each.
Place your molding tray on a flat surface and add a drop of red and a drop of green to the base of the mold.
Now quickly pour your soap into the molds filling up each cavity to the top.

Once your molds are filled grab your soap colorant and drop in a color of red, blue, green and yellow and quickly using your stick/straw start to swirl the design around.
You’ll notice the color starts to sink to the bottom and then comes back to the top. This is creating the tie dye effect at the bottom.
Allow the soap to sit in mold for at least 2 hours. After that time, carefully remove the soap from the mold.

This soap is so easy to make and a great DIY project for kids to help out with (or do on their own if they are old enough). This soap makes the perfect present to give to relatives or friends! Just wrap one (or a few) in tissue paper, place in a drawstring fabric bag, add a cute card and you’re all set. You can make these in advance so they’re ready to go when the occasion arises.
